The Pousada de Angra opened its doors in April 2007. Located within a 16th century fortress known as the Castelinho of São Sebastião, the Pousada is situated on Terceira Island in the Azores, in the historic quarter of the city of Angra, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean between Europe and North America, the nine islands that form the Azores are on a parallel with Lisbon. Terceira means “third” in Portuguese, because it was the third island of the Azores to be discovered, in 1427. The island, famous for its stunning natural beauty, is approximately 76 miles north-west of the main island of São Miguel. Diving, fishing, whale and dolphin watching can all be arranged for guests through the Pousada, which will feature 29 bedrooms, including one suite, a restaurant serving regional specialities and a swimming pool.

Notes on prices
All prices shown are per person per night, including breakfast and tax.

Easter: 05/04/06 - 07/04/06 (inclusive) - The high season rates apply here.
Single rooms: a twin/double for single use is provided, and will be charged as for double occupancy with a reduction of £8.50
Triple rooms: the cost for the third person (maximum 3 per room) is approximately 30% of the price for a twin/double room.
Children: the cost for each child up to 12 years of age sharing a standard room with two adults (depending on the capacity of the room) is approximately 15% of the price of a twin/double room.
Half board (Lunch or Dinner): the supplement per person for a 3-course menu from the 'Menu Pousadas' is approximately £21.50 (excluding drinks).
The prices shown are intended as a guide and may be changed at any time during the year, subject to fluctuations in exchange rates. However, no currency surcharge whatsoever will be made in respect of any booking for which full payment is received within 14 days of invoice date.
